Chords: Human by dodie
I love me some dodie: she's one of the women who inspired me to start my YouTube channel, and to start sharing the songs I write. She's an advocate for a bunch of stuff dear to my heart, and she writes prose well, too. I think she's awesome.
Human is an fantastic track off an excellent EP, and it works well played solo. Come get you some simple ukulele chords...
My cover is a half step down from the record, because I think it sounds nice in my voice, and because I really didn't want to transpose the chords, or fiddle about with a capo on the video. My fudgy Ehlers-Danlos hands don't really like capos, to be honest, so I make do with the semitone down. You can use the same chords as me with a capo on the first fret, if you want to match the track itself; both ways sound really nice.
I did some harmonies, which worked out...alright? On the chords I feel like I should have put the change to C in a couple more times, like I usually do when I play. (Ah well, it's recorded now.) If I'm being honest, I'm actually really happy with how it turned out, especially as a little friend of mine gatecrashed the whole thing again. Bless him.
Here's the Imperfection Project video, featuring my happy little moggy interloper:
And here are the chords I'm playing:
Enjoy! I'm sure you'll do a much better job than I did.
Love always,
Fay

P.S. I didn't write this song, dodie did. You can listen to the original below...and then you should go buy everything she's ever made because, frankly, it's all great.
