Chords: Pop Song by Theo Katzman
Something soft for this week, hey? Here are the guitar and ukulele chords for a lovely tune by Theo Katzman, a thoroughly-underrated guy who crafts rather beautiful songs.
For the hastily-captured (and sunburnt from a day at the beach) YouTube video of me playing, guess who forgot to turn off her white noise machine? THIS GUY. Hence I had to de-noise the sound a bit, which came out…better than the naked sound, but still eerily like I’m roiling in the belly of an angry submarine.
Here’s the Imperfection Project vid:
And here are the chords:
I mean, which sensible person hasn’t sold their soul to Billy Joel? (I know I have.)
The chords were originally from the web, and tweaked to closer reflect the song at the interstitial bits – and to put in that gorgeous Amajor to A7 change in the last chorus that just tops off the whole song.
As always, I’m sure you’ll do a much better job than me and my rudimentary rhythm can. Enjoy!
Love always,
Fay

P.S. I don’t own any rights to this. I didn’t write it. The original is much better. Go buy it. Then go buy ‘As the Romans Do’ by the same guy, because that absolutely slaps. Here’s the original of Pop Song.
