Chords: Extraordinary Magic by Ben Rector
Dang, this is a nice song, and it's from a really nice album, too. Extraordinary Magic is one of those Ben Rector tunes that, when I heard it the first time, I fell in love with it straight away. It's how I feel about my Kind-Eyed-Boy, and yes, I know how lucky that makes me.
Come get you some chords so you can play this gentle, gorgeous, heartfelt love song yourself…
Oddly, Extraordinary Magic isn't my absolute favourite track from the Magic album (that would be Old Friends, or I Will Always Be Yours, depending on the day) but it's nice to play slowly, sounds somewhat pretty in my voice and it's fun to sing. I opened with it at my second ever open mic night performance, and I listened to the album a lot when we moved back to the UK, so it'll always have a special place in my heart.
Here's the Imperfection Project recording of what I'm playing on my ukulele:
The chords I'm playing are transposed for girl-range, and slightly tweaked from those available elsewhere on the net, but here they are.

(As always, these chords are suitable for guitar and ukulele, and though I forget how many steps, you’ll need to transpose them to match the record...)
What can I say? Ben Rector writes a great classic love song. And, if this album is anything to go by, he has a whole boatload of tunes that make me want to move, and sing, and write my own love songs, too.
I hope you’ll enjoy playing this, I'm sure you'll do a much better job playing it than I did...
Love always,
Fay

P.S. It's not my song, and I don't own any rights to it. As always, the original is much better, and below for your delectation. Go buy the album, and give this talented young man some money!
