Chords: Pretty Noose (Simple Version) by Soundgarden
Pretty Noose is not an easy song to play. Even my simplified arrangement (which has all the widdly bits cut out) is pretty tricky to play. And yet, here we are, with a video uploaded plus some cool harmonies/layered vocals, and the chords as a printable sheet.
Come hither, sweet reader, and get yourself some chords for a simple arrangement of Pretty Noose, by Soundgarden.
I enjoy the hits of Soundgarden, the ones everyone knows, which is probably why I had so little compunction probably utterly murdering/covering this song. I never really got into them that much as an album band, but given how much I’ve been thinking about them of late, I reckon I’ll give them another swing. Regardless, I was affected when Chris Cornell passed, and I shed a tear for him.
Back to the song, I’ve sung Pretty Noose about a thousand times at Rock Band parties, so it holds some great memories for me. (I am the bard you want in your party for Rock Band, and I do a mean Ace of Spades and Chop Suey, too.) Like basically all Soundgarden songs, Pretty Noose is in a weird time signature, so it takes a while to get your fingers around it. Also, the original is a billion layers of weird detuned guitar magic, and…well, there’s just me and my scrappy ukulele, y’know?
Here’s my Imperfection Project cover:
And here are the chords I am (barely) playing :D
If you’re after the widdly bits (where I’m just hammering F because I cannae do them) they’re not hard to find on the magical Internet.
I am positive that you’ll do a much better job than I did. Have fun!
Love always,
Fay

P.S. I didn’t write this, Chris Cornell et al did. Go buy the original. It’s way, way better.
